Though not formally taught art, I come from a family of artists, and am a product of an endless list of supporters, mentors, and influences. Born and raised in NY, my art is heavily informed by my Egyptian heritage, primarily through my affinity for stylized Arabic calligraphy and geometric art. While I do work occasionally with resin, acrylic paint is my preferred medium. It allows the colors I used to be as bold and expressive as the state I grew up in. 

I began painting as a means to give those I love an intimate and unique gift that only art can provide. I continued to paint in order to provide others with the opportunity to give those they love the same kind of gift. As my painting journey continues, I've begun to explore the subjects, ideas and feelings that move me, with the hope they may move others too. 

Regardless of how defined or abstract the painting is, I pride myself in the minute details that make these pieces 1 of 1, as unique as the recipient, or as nuanced and layered as the subject it covers.
